How to import a map on an Minecraft server?

You can quickly transfer a map from a Minecraft server to another.

This action is useful if you change your hosting service, or if you want to put your solo map to a mTxServ server. 

Transfer your map

Here is the instructions to follow to transfer your map to your Minecraft server :

• Stop your Minecraft server.
  
  
• Transfer the directory containing your map files with your FTP access (by default, the directory is named world).
  
  
• Modify your server.properties configuration file by editing the line level-name=DIRECTORY_OF_YOUR_MAP.
  
  
• Restart your server.
  
  

If your map comes from an older version of the game than the actual server, it should be converted automatically.
